New products should improve and not break anything. In many cases Windows 7 is an improvement. However I noted some thing that were fine with Vista and now broken. My computer is 64bit quad core with 4GB of RAM it uses the ASUS P5N-T Delux mother board with Windows 7 Ultimate. It is a good machine. The problems I have are as follows:
a) Now when I boostrap I always get the popup ASIO.sys !!(2). I uninstalled Asus Suite with no effect. This was not there with VISTA. I am not alone with this situation.
b) My network interface which was rock solid with VISTA triped off line with any significant traffic. Downloading became impossible. SKYPE conversations would not last more than a few minutes. Downloaded and installed latest network driver from NVIDIA (nforce 780i SLI) and it now works much better like 95% but still trips off the line. I need to disable and reeenable the network interface to continue. I am also not alone with this situation either.
